Planning a special event for a group can be a daunting task. A vacation or retreat can be a memory that lasts a life time. There are several things you can do in advance that will help to ensure a pleasant stay for everyone... and SAVE MONEY!!! As they say, the devil is in the details.

1)  BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE:

• Many families & groups return on the same dates every year. Several dates may be reserved years in advance, while three day weekends book months ahead.
• If you're flexible with dates, an alternative weekend might save you a lot of money.

2)  MAKE DINING ARRANGEMENTS:

• The grocery store might not be the least expensive option. They count on weekend visitors too. By the time you get all the ingredients the final bill might be shocking.
• Combining food with your stay will save you valuable money & time.

3)  ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT:

• Make sure there is at least one planned activity you do as a group. You could go for a hike or ATV ride on the property, maybe a ski trip or fishing. We always have discounts for the attractions.
• Booking private entertainment is often an overlooked option. Anytime you don't have to travel will certainly save you in the end.

4)  WHAT TO BRING:

• While the lodge is fully equipped with just about everything you'll need, often people forget their favorite music or MP3 player. We have many TV's, but you might want a DVD player for the kids. If you're planning on beer pong bring extra balls.
• Generally, if you're not sure if you need it... bring it. A trip to the mall is not a vacation.
